(a) There are two existing pay scales of college Lecturers :-

(1) State pay scale plus all other allowances as admissible for other State Government servants i.e. House Rent, Medical , Hill and Winter Allowances.

(2) The UGC Scale of Pay D.A. Lecturers who are qualified and opted for UGC Scale of Pay are entitled to Basic pay plus central DA only.

(a) To formulate the project Regional needs keeping in view the availability of resources and to recommend the Annual Regional Development Plan for Annual Five Year and Perspective Regional Plan.

(b) The role and scope of each individual RPDC and the relationship and co-ordination between the MEDC and the two RPDCs since the MEDC already exist as the overall Planning body for the State of Meghalaya?

(b) The RPDC deals with Regional Planning, while the MEDC's role relates mainly to economic and industrial policies for fostering economic growth and for attracting investments in the State.
