i) Joint Director, Sericulture & Weaving, Tura :- The reason for not filling up the post is due to non-suitable/eligible candidate. The promotion will be taken up after the Officers concerned in the rank of Deputy Director have completed 3 (three) years. |

ii) Sericulture Development Officer, Tikrikilla :- The post is lying vacant and it will be filled up on the basis of 50% Direct Recruitment through Meghalaya Public Service Commission. |
|
|
iii) Principal, Handloom Training Institute, Mendipathar:- Due to non-availability of suitable candidates in the rank of Zonal Officer, Weaving for promotion to the post. |
|
|
iv) Handloom Development Officer, Dilma:- On promotion of Officer from the post of Handloom Development Officer to the higher post of Zonal Officer, Weaving, Tura on 2005 the post is lying vacant till date and it will be filled up by 50% promotion. |
|
|
v) Handloom Research Officer, Mendipathar :- The post is lying vacant on 2005 on promotion of Officer as District Handloom Officer, Nongstoin. The post is to be filled up direct recruitment through Meghalaya Public Service Commission. |
|
|
vi) Instructor, Handloom Training Institute, Mendipathar :- There are 3 Nos. post of Instructors which are lying vacant. The vacancies occurred due to due to non-availability of suitable candidates for promotion from lower ranks.However, the post will be filled up by Direct Recruitment through Meghalaya Public Service Commission and action for Advertisement will be taken up shortly. |

vii) Sericulture Development Officer, Resubelpara :- On promotion of Officers in the rank of Sericulture Development Officer, Resubelpara to the higher post of Zonal Officer, Sericulture, Tura on 2005 the post is lying vacant till date and it will be filled up by 50% promotion. |

viii) District Handloom Officer, Williamnagar :- On promotion of Officer in the rank of District Handloom Officer to the higher post of Zonal Officer, Weaving on 27.10.1994, the post is lying vacant till date and it will be filled up by Direct Recruitment by 50% basis. |

(a) There are 4 (four) weighbridges and 5 (five) checkgates in between Dainadubi and Nongalbibra of East Garo Hills. |

(b) The agency who are operating/controlling those Gates and Weigh Bridges? |
(b) The Agencies operating the Weighbridges are:- |

(d) Yes, Sir. It is a fact that taxes, royalty and fees and fines are collected by the Government run weighbridges and Checkgates as per rules. |

(a) Sir, no fund was received from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for the year 2005-2006. The Fund for the year 2003-2004 has already been drawn by the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council and has been fully utilized. |
