(a) The status of the Shillong bye-pass ? |
(a) Implementation of the Shillong Bye-Pass has been entrusted to National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and it is learnt that the Detailed Project Report is likely to be completed by May, 2006, Sir. |

(b) The total length of the entire bye-pass connecting NH - 40 with NH - 44? |
(b) 49.676 km, Sir. |

|
(c) The total estimated value of the above project? |
(c) Does not arise in view of (a) above, Sir. |
|

(d) The target as to when the above project will be completed? |
(d) Does not arise in view of (a) above, Sir. |

(c) No, Sir. The programme is under implementation. |

Rural Electrification Scheme

(a) The time, the Government is going to complete the process to cover all the rural villages in the entire State under the Rural Electrification Scheme? |
(a) Subject to availability of fund, all villages are
proposed to be electrified within 5 years, Sir. |

(b) The number of villages already covered by the Scheme and the number of villages yet to be covered throughout the State of Meghalaya? |
(b) 3806 Villages in the State have been covered under Rural Electrification and 1976 Villages are yet to be covered, Sir. |

(c) The money received year wise, for the last three consecutive financial years? |
(c) The money received for the last three consecutive years are as follows, Sir.

(a) The total fund received from the Government of India / Forest Development Agency for Joint Forest management in the State from the time of inception of the Scheme till date? |
(a) Rs.763.00 Lakhs. |

(b) The number of Schemes/Projects so far taken up by
the State Government of Meghalaya? |
(b) Only one scheme namely the National Afforestation Programme which is being implementation through 73 numbers of Joint Forest Management Committees under the Programme. |

(c) The number of Schemes/Projects so far taken up in West Garo Hills? |
(c) 14 numbers of Joint Forest Management Committees have been set up in West Garo Hills District. |

(d) Whether there is any such scheme in West Garo Hills District which is covering the villages of Indikgre, Rongkhongre, Chisakgre, Molmegre, etc.? |
(d) Yes, Indekgre Joint Forest Management Committee is covered under the scheme. No Scheme is implemented in Rongkhongre, Chisakgre and Molmegre Villages. |
