(a) Sir, there is some delay in filling up the vacant posts of Primary Teachers as the Government is in the process of implementing the new recruitment procedure which will bring about improvement in the quality of Education in the State. |

(b) The reason for change in the procedure for recruitment of Primary Teachers is because the Government is committed to provide quality education and therefore is making every effort to ensure that the standard of education is improved through proper selection of teachers. |

(a) Sir, Mylliem Baniun Irrigation Project could not be repaired for the last two years due to inadequate Budget provision. |

(b) The action the Department propose to take for
future use of this project by the farmer ? |
(b) The Department has already taken up immediate repair of the critical portion of the Headwork and Canal System whereby, the project has become partially functional. However, the Department has proposed to take up major improvement works and the proposal is being processed during the current financial year. |

(a) No, report of such diseases received Sir. A recent survey conducted by the Government in the area indicated that no unusual or rare cases were encountered, and cases of chronic endemicity were not detected. On the whole, the people in the area enjoy good and healthy lives. |
